When it was good, it was good. When it was, it was really bad.
Pros
Not micromanaged A fair amount of freedom in choosing/developing content Workload was reasonable The marketing team, although very small (2 writers plus 1 dept director) was AMAZING, very close knit, very supportive, very fulfilling to work with (although eventually everyone decamped for greener pastures) My supervisor/director of the marketing department was incredible, both as a supervisor while at the company and as an overall mentor in my career. The pay was reasonable given the job (although not for the LA area - in the midwest it would have been a great salary... but, in all fairness to the company, I was not required to live in LA). Salary range while I was there was 50 to 70ish.
Cons
Senior leadership could be very difficult to work with A major project that was extremely resource- and time-intensive was ultimately a failure because leadership did not listen to our suggestions that the product was far from ready (bug-ridden, overpriced, questionable value for consumer, tons of errors, poor UI, etc) and it eventually became a bit of a boondoggle for the company both due to botched launch and exceptionally poor CS Overall, customer service was very poor Extremely high turnover rate
