Pros

Company is really solid and has an mazing creative direction. Huge retail distribution that allowed me to deal with different sides of the business.

Cons

Structure of the company is too rigid and as a regional VM left little space to my creative contribution in the implementation of guide lines stemmed from corporate. Also, on a personal/professional level, I had different views and way of operating in respect of my line manager.

Staff Discount is generally, Good compared to other luxury brands- (that’s the only reason why people stay for as long as they do- even HR partners abuse their staff discount!)

Cons

Terrible management from Team Managers to Store Directors to HR to CEO….. the company some how had a great way of hiring all the wrong people for all the important roles. The Gucci marketing is very good- it sparks conversation and confusion-in the way that it’s fun to read in a magazine, but working for the brand and trying the sell the things it advertises…. Let’s just say things aren’t flying off the shelves and you’ll be standing there in a hate crime of a uniform begging for a sale (and you’ll end up just selling a piece of silver jewellery to a 13 year old for the entire day)

Used to be employee store but not anymore

Cons

long hours, very rude clients, extremely toxic environment, no management skills, none work-life balance, if you are in department store you do everything, stockroom, cashier, after sales. No luxury environment anymore and problem with the payment
