Lied about pay increases

Pros

Remote work at home is a pro.

Cons

Offered $15 per hour to start with an automatic increase to $15.74 per hour in Jan through their hiring company Ascendo in writing. Guidewell then failed to honor the increase and I was told that employees had to wait until the company evaluated pay increases company-wide in February. Equipment sent for remote work is lack-luster at best. Poor connection problems to various software used for the position. This was experienced by over 30+ people in our initial classroom environment. iGels (tower-like device to access the Guidewell Novitas system) had connection issues on a daily basis. The company expects you to clock in via Punch Page, yet the iGel systems lags. They'll only pay you to clock in 5-7 minutes early (don't dare be late) but you're expected in that 5-7 minutes to have your iGel up and running, all programs logged into, emails read, and updates caught up on. So you have to log in 15-20 minutes early to ensure the iGel even connects. So you're working unpaid for 10+ minutes before your shift. THEN if you're one minute late using Punch Page (even when it lags) coming back from break, you lose your entire 2nd break of the day. Then, if that's not enough, after weeks of faulty systems during training and your entire class being behind, they send in the manager to scold your entire class about how far behind the class is. When class started, most of our new hires hadn't received their company desktops, company cell phones, or equipment. What a joke! Stay far away from this company. Ask why their entire payroll department walked out.

Pros

A lot of the people really believe in the mission.

Cons

The company has a few severe problems. 1. Deadwood executives. Useless placeholders. 2. Some ruthless individuals. Despite its non-profit status, there are executives who are intensely political. They are not genuine and they will step on their people to help themselves. 3. Lack of imagination. The company is old and stodgy. It claims to be innovative. It absolutely is not.
