Designers weren’t supported by owner/management. Management were hired by owner that didn’t understand sales, clientele, and basic interior design. HW Home uses a 20 year old computer system for design projects. This wasn’t the best format and most employees don’t use it. Staff is required to clean store, public restrooms and wash extremely large windows regularly. This took designers from floor and hampered sales. Schedule changed regularly at the last moment and staff weren’t asked if changes were okay. Distrust prevails over the store, many staff members uneasy from management’s probing inquiries. Discounts given freely to clients by managers, staff interrogated if they do the same. Owner frequently harassed staff verbally and one time physically resulting in a lawsuit
