Pros

Nice colleagues, free parking, nice office

Cons

Old boys club mentality, if your face doesn’t fit you’re out. People are treated as expendable.

Pros

Great area to live and raise a family in.

Cons

Management talks out of both sides of their mouth. This is a company that will use anyone to gain an advantage and get more. It starts at the very top where executives have history of enabling each others indiscretions and infidelities and then speak of grit, integrity, and character. There is a under lying current of mistrust that is driven by these known behaviors. If you can stomach pacifying petty management and selling your soul you may make progress to increase salary and a job promotion. To most, it is not worth the price. Employees seldom retire from Hagerty as they make efforts to age or force out higher salaried individuals. With constant reorganizing every quarter the knowledge and tech gaps grow expediently and contribute to poor project execution and low morale. It is only a matter of time before you will get assigned one of the many petty managers. This can make it unbearable to work at Hagerty. IT is notorious for having the same high level back stabbing management that has failed to implement a competent IT strategy for years and places the blame on employees, contractors, partners or the latest and greatest CIO. Good luck looking for help from HR with your grievance's. Ethics and confidentiality are just words and the behavior and actions mimic high school gossip clicks.
