Pros

Work life balance No much stress Many softwares to use

Cons

No career progression for young professionals, salary is lower than the industry average because the company has no investment. Sales people relies on referrals and upsells. No go to market team for outbound prospect. My sale manager from the USA always missed the 1-1 meeting, irresponsible and show no care at all. HR in Finland is not professional.

Pros

The company was a great workplace until the former VP of Sales, who is now the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), took over the leadership of the company and created a toxic work environment.

Cons

This is an honest review from someone who spent nearly four years in the sales department of this company. Initially, it was a great workplace, under the old leadership. However, when the former VP of Sales, now the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), took over the leadership, things took a drastic turn. Having worked closely with him and reporting to him for a considerable period, I witnessed his highly political nature, as he consolidated control over the entire company, often at the expense of dedicated sales teams. His close friendship with the CEO played a significant role in his rapid promotions and fostered a buddy-business dynamic. Under his leadership, the work environment turned toxic, and the culture underwent a complete shift from 2022 onwards. He attempted to reduce salaries while his focus was to gain more bonuses and commissions for himself, he exhibited a lack of honesty, work ethics, and vision for the company. His ambitions were solely on filling his own pockets and exploiting dedicated sales professionals and employees to present favorable numbers to the board. He has been driving away valuable employees who disagreed with him through bullying, while favoring and promoting those who were submissive. He experienced a stroke of luck post-Covid, as companies resumed spending, leading to favorable sales revenue figures, which was the result of diligent efforts of the sales teams (The sales team members had been working there for many years before his arrival.). However, the CRO demonstrated no long-term sales strategy, lacking the necessary skills and vision to lead the company. The company's financial outlook is bleak, given the absence of profits and the CRO's incompetence. Many employees are unhappy but hesitate to leave because of the lack of other job opportunities and responsibilities. It is hoped that, at some point, the board will scrutinize the situation closely and recognize the deception and ineptitude of the CRO. In light of these circumstances, I would not recommend working for HappyOrNot.

Pros

Growing company which provides opportunities for personal growth

Cons

Management does not have the cultural background that will enable them to be a truly global company. They try to do everything from a Finnish point of view, and that does not work well in every culture where they operate.
