Pros
-Lower-level employees all like to spend time with one another in and outside of work -You have general control of your immediate environment and physical comfort - Good benefits (gym stipend, easy to request PTO, 100% covered health insurance, snacks) -Relaxed demeanor regarding professionalism and sharing of information (this can also be seen as a bad thing) -Flexible and hybrid work schedule
Cons
- AIS (sister company) has taken over operations, meaning each hire, timeline, design decision, goal is approved or rejected by someone external who is not interested in company values and culture - Just went through a second set of layoffs in the past 4 years - Managers tend to focus on specific employees they like personally and remember they're supposed to be evaluating ALL of their subordinates about a month before reviews are due
