POC, run, run away!

Pros

Exposure to a few new technologies and some talented colleagues.

Cons

Toxic culture, good ol boys vibe, diversity is nonexistent, POC are used as tokens during the interview process (i.e., they interview just enough POC to seem like diversity exists in the organization. They hire POC to check their diversity box. In reality, they lack the framework to support and mentor people from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. Micromanagement at its finest. You will be expected to attend every meeting on your calendar, even if you don't have anything to do with that meeting, and you will be pushed to talk and say something; otherwise, it will be noted in your employee assessment review. Managers lack the knowledge and competency to lead and mentor their team members. They seem to be more concerned with their own promotions than promoting their team members. They don't take the time to understand their employees' unique strengths and weaknesses. This lack of understanding leads to poor performance and high turnover rates. An employee benefits management company fails to provide adequate health insurance and monitors its so-called 'unlimited PTO'. The salaries being offered are below the market standards, and the reason given for this is the ongoing recession.

Job seekers think twice

Pros

You will meet a handful of intelligent people who are hardworking and want to make a difference.

Cons

If you're looking for autonomy in a role, you will not find that here. CS leadership continually looks over your shoulder to see if you've sent out an email correctly, slacks you over the weekend or outside business hours. You start to fear the the typing awareness indicator. There is a major lack empathy from the higher ups in this department which is exhausting and employees lose steam quickly. No project or effort will ever be good enough.

Pros

Management doesn't pay attention so you can get away with just about anything for 10 months of the year as long as you perform by the end of October.

Cons

Does it take 2 managers to manage 5 people? HealthJoy certainly thinks so! Redundant middle managers pat themselves on the back while experiencing 100% year-over-year turnover of their sales team, including all previous president's club reps. The GTM team is primarily there to benefit a VP who does very little beyond fly from market to market, party, and wear t-shirts. Compensation is a joke and less than 5% of their GTM hit quota for 2 years straight. They've severely underperformed against projections and I wouldn't be surprised if they are sold. The technology has fallen behind the marketplace. Their "ai" is a chatbot decision tree of choices and responses.
