Great co-workers, awful management - LMHS
Pros
Staff were for the most part extremely dedicated and compassionate, despite lack of support & resources. Most of them were the best co-workers I've ever had, hands-down. The clinic does excellent & vital work for the community, especially for transgender patients, who are especially vulnerable & have had to deal with discrimination and mistreatment in medical settings.
Cons
Disappointing benefits. Chronically understaffed, and staff is overworked. I thought this was a short term issue, but it is an ever-worsening default state. Burnout is very common. Management is out-of-touch, unsupportive, and can be downright adversarial to employees, which is really unfortunate. For example, not replacing staff who left, and then (management) putting increasing pressure on the remaining employees to finish the work of 2+ people without the time or staff to do so. The staff at LMHS are already overworked, and yet they're treated as though they just aren't working hard enough. Very blaming / shaming environment, which is extra undermining when the job itself is so taxing, emotionally and intellectually. Staff has been without mid-level management for nearly a year. Despite being a loyal and hard worker, I was fired, and then HR360 tried to deny my unemployment (I won on appeal). It was devastating to be fired from a job that I cared about so deeply. I'm also very disappointed that I put so much of my heart and mind into that job, and yet I was treated so poorly by upper management.
