Pros

I made great friends, and it looked great on my resume. We were allowed to bring our pets every Friday, but then they took that away, same with Tuesday breakfast (those don’t happen anymore)

Cons

Where do I start... 1st of all this place is a lawsuit waiting to happen, I can’t believe they have gotten away this far with the amount of shady, illegal, inappropriate, sexual misconduct from upper management (especially the CEO) if your idea of an upstairs meeting is attempted footsies play and hand holding then look no further. The CEO is a narcissistic megalomaniac, who micromanages and crosses personal & professional boundaries. He often threatens job security and pay for the sake of self gratification and self esteem. Upper management pretends to be on your side and immediately throws you under the bus when it proves convenient for them. This is an incredibly toxic environment where employees are pitted against each other for their own benefit. Everyone who has moved on from HealthyPets have become much mentally healthier and happier because the bar was set so low. HealthyPets is the least healthy place you can work. *This is collective review from multiple past employees.

Pros

- The employees who work here are some of the smartest and most capable people I have ever worked with who deserve better. - Casual atmosphere. - Fun industry to work in if you love pets. - Easy to get your foot in the door if you need experience.

Cons

This place has a lot of problems, and every single problem stems from the CEO. The CEO fosters an unhealthy, negative working environment. He verbally abuses his employees, is constantly disrespectful and rude, is late to every meeting, and cannot hold a conversation without staring at his phone. He does not care about his employees or their work/life balance. He pits his employees against each other to create tension, going so far as to spread lies - most likely to draw some of the hatred away from himself. He is also known for his attempts to flirt with and touch young female employees. The negativity spreads to management, who in turn take their frustration out on their employees. Every day you will hear someone tell you that they want to quit. Employees begin to throw each other under the bus to avoid the verbal abuse. You will never hear praise about good performance , only criticism. CEO and management are incredibly micromanaging. There is no trust in the employees. If your break is 1 minute too long, they will notice and they will confront you. If you are sick for one day, you will be mocked and accused of lying. If you are seen on your cell phone even once, the CEO will take a picture of you on his cell phone and send it to your manager. The CEO uses employees for strange personal tasks, such as washing his car or keeping his place in the bathroom line. They make promises about raises that are either delayed for months or never given at all. They underpay every employee by as much as they possibly can. They will pressure you into doing unethical things for the company. If they find out that you are planning on leaving the company, they will contact your prospective employer and tell them lies about your performance in order to prevent you from leaving. There is no room for growth here. I have witnessed employees being asked to write positive reviews in exchange for prizes. Don't fall for them . Pay attention to the negative reviews. I have never met one person who said they were happy there.
