Pros
-Working for Hired by Matrix as a temp placed at a large company, contract started as 3 months, as been extended and I am here 2 years.
-Temp position led to the recent offer of full time employment by the company I was temping at through Hired by Matrix
-Any time I had questions or needed something, I was able to get answers
-They worked out the time-sheet process with my placement
-They checked in once a month to see if I needed any support, and made sure I was happy
-They had the placement select my hours/work schedule and did not interfere
-All the staff were so friendly and helpful, it didn't feel like a major corporation
-I felt valued as a temp for them
-They set up an electronic system for paystubs/W2s
-They are very professional and hire professionals; the previous temp agency I worked for briefly was well known and a major company but did not have as high standards for others I was a temp with, giving a poor reputation to temps
-Large selections of jobs in various locations and fields of work
Overall so worth it!
Cons
-No sick days or paid vacation/holidays
-Low hourly salary for amount of experience and education
-No bonus or raise for having my contract extended
-Multiple points of contacts made it confusing who my rep was/if they communicated with each other
