Coming from a high tech professional environment I thought this would be a fun part time job. Hired on the spot, the manager verbally offered a higher salary than I received, promised no weekends and agreed I could work part time. Once onboard I was told weekends were mandatory and received constant pressure to become full time. There is a hierarchy of “management” on the sales floor which is a comedy of errors. With everyone needing to be the boss and issuing orders to perceived minions, communication and positivity are disastrous. The actual manager is either unaware or unable to control her personnel and the result is Baby Boomers gone wild. If you’re looking for a negative back stabbing work environment you’ve landed.
