Pros
I had the pleasure of working for Hostplus for roughly two years.
Hostplus is one of the few organisations i have worked for who actively walk the talk when it comes to employee well-being and happiness, among other things.
I joined during the pandemic and with a multitude of life upheavals at the same time. To say that I was understood, supported and embraced during this time would be an understatement.
The organisation is inherently purposeful in everything it does, and this shines through in how they work and operate.
I can't speak highly enough of the team I worked with and support I was provided, it was a truly humbling experience.
When you work for an organisation that has a societal goal of creating a better retirement for their members, this weaves its way through the organisation in ways you wouldn't always expect. Everyone has the members best interests at heart, and this, to me, is as the heart of why HP is an inherently good organisation.
Cons
Offices are a little bit out-dated, some cost cutting measures are questionable.
