Pros

Hardly any. May be decent compensation but believe me comes at a career cost. In between this was a good place when the last President (Head of Hubzu, which is part of the larger company called Altisource) was brought in. And then after a while, he was fired. Top Altisource management never explained why ! Most of the good reviews that you see here were written during his time [2013-2014]. Check out the RATINGS OVER THE TIME - Glassdoor gives you that. And don't get fooled by seeing old reviews.

Cons

Several, but will write about just one but the most important thing - Culture. The top management of any org builds the culture by how it communicates, gets involved, empowers people around, recognizes talent, hires etc. Hubzu's top management is quite toxic. They amaze you. Everyday. With their personal agendas, politics, and laughable domain knowledge. Consequently most employees around are of very average quality - difficult to learn anything new here. ONE ADVICE. STAY AWAY. There are plenty of interesting opportunities in Bangalore/India these days. Or treat this as a backup option. Question: Why am I still here ? Answer: Good Question :) Hopefully I will be out of here soon. FUNNY TRIVIA: Altisource (Hubzu) recently acquired a company called owners.com and have merged with Hubzu. Management/people calls themselves ZUNERS (hubZU + owNERS). Google search Zuners and you find an urbandictionary meaning: One who tries to be cool and fails miserably. Ha !

Pros

They offer a really good salary.

Cons

All cannot be listed, but here are few: 1.You are expected to work on old code base and old technologies which are not even useful for a developer. Only bug fixes or enhancements using the same code. Plus they are not ready to develop new code or introduce new frameworks. Project architecture is horrible. 2.Top management acts as if they are some rulers and Hubzu is their kingdom. They will tell you what to do, when to do, where to do, how do to like you are some kinder garden student. Whatever they think is correct and whatever they decide will happen. There is no point of joining Hubzu if you are not a manager and if you dont know how to play politics. 3.Apart from management, the senior employees working here have only average coding knowledge which also they will never share as if its their private property. So basically, no learning opportunity. 4.Worst work culture I have ever seen. No formal training or KT sessions. Nobody is ready to help you in any possible way, instead they will look out for an opportunity where they can let others down. You will never get appreciation for your work, not even in your yearly appraisal. If you can work on your own, without any friends, ignoring every wrong things happening around you, tolerating any possible bad behaviour and have no other job opportunity, go ahead and join Hubzu.

Pros

One Year back, Leadership team was soo good. Few of my colleagues are really good. Awesome opportunity to learn and experiment. Flexible working hours.

Cons

Recently, Lot of chaos going on with change in the Leadership. Good people left the company because of internal politics. Overall, it became a burial ground.
