Pros

It was my first job, so it was a good introductory experience for me. My employer treated me fairly and he was understanding of any issues I was experiencing.

Cons

No cons on my end.

Good place to learn by teaching

Pros

The schedule is flexible and the pay is rather high for high school students. You're not monitored all the time while tutoring and instead expected to stay responsible and on-task.

Cons

Some of the students may be stubborn or tough to work with, but that's expected. In the time I was there, materials such as whiteboard markers and erasers were not replaced enough.

Pros

Good pay for a starting job. Flexible hours. Manager works with you to schedule times that work for both you and student.

Cons

Requires you to keep track of your own hours. Can sometimes take a long time to give you your pay.
