We appreciate your honest review. It’s unfortunate to hear your views of senior leadership and management; we are always looking to evaluate and improve. Our industry and company have faced change and rapid growth as of late, and as a result, we’ve been forced to make tough decisions. We’re optimistic, however, that we are set up to thrive. We hope you’ll come (stay) along for the ride! We can only get better if employees express their concerns confidentially to People Operations in the future.

Dishonest communication

Pros

Employment (for now). Formerly amazing culture, which unfortunately has turned toxic. If you're in need of short term employment looking to 1099 for a few months, great place to run in, cash grab, and get out. Incidentally that is also the new CEO's plan. Get in, package up the company to sell, cash grab, get out.

Cons

Dishonest practices. There have been many layoffs and much restructuring. Layoffs and restructuring have to happen sometimes, but when there is a round of layoffs, then a company-wide email from the CEO exclusively promising no more layoffs this year, and then another round of layoffs with 5 months left in 2018, that says a lot about the self-proclaimed open communication the company claims to practice. I would like to stress that the CEO even qualified his own statement with "this year," meaning that further mass layoffs next year are possible. But then again the initial promise was never kept, so more layoffs tomorrow are possible, too. People don't trust the leadership anymore. There was recently a company meeting where the top level management answered questions nobody asked. They kept talking about money, and said they were surprised that no one is asking if the company is financially struggling. I wasn't wondering if the company was financially struggling before, but I have to say I am wondering that now that you brought it up unsolicited and spent so much time on the topic. The people that made it through the layoffs are those who are well below the pay bracket for their position and have been putting in the work in hopes of recognition in the form of financial compensation. That's not going to happen, and if it is, not to the extent people are hoping for. Anyone who was paid competitively, on par with the market, has been laid off. Raises were supposed to happen in late 2017, then delayed until early 2018, now delayed again until late 2018, all while the company keeps bringing up the fact that is has a lot of money in the bank without anyone asking. They don't realize no one is buying it.

Thank you for your honesty and taking the time to leave us feedback. Our industry and company have faced change and rapid growth as of late, and as a result, we’ve been forced to make tough decisions. The adjustments we are making will put us in the best position to continue to develop great solutions, deliver them more efficiently to customers, and demonstrate that customer and employee satisfaction is our number one priority. We are incredibly grateful for the contributions made by each of the individuals impacted – they will be missed by their colleagues and friends at IT Authorities. We understand the importance of effective communication which is why we are continually working to improve our internal communication strategy. Pros

Lunch on Fridays My team Benefits not terrible - Too expensive for family coverage

Cons

How do you treat loyal, hardworking employees? If you're IT Authorities, you work them until there is nothing left and they either quit because they've taken all of the abuse they can stand or you fire them in one of the mass layoffs that were supposedly over months ago! So many hardworking, necessary people have lost their jobs after working for sometimes years while being underpaid and unappreciated. There is no room for growth and even if you're promoted they'll find a reason that you didn't meet expectations, or maybe if you're lucky the CEO will want you out because you "don't fit in". It's sad that I've actually heard that as the reason he wanted someone fired. We were supposed to get raises in December 2017, now that won't be until December 2018. While the hard workers get no raise, the C-Levels keep getting richer. I guess they were right when we were told "we're a big company now", you've sure shown your true colors and there is no integrity left in the company. The owners? They're a joke, they fire people on a whim because they're having a rough day. While we struggle daily because of the company's finances, the owners are enjoying the high life mooching off the money that does come in.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this honest feedback. Our industry and company have faced change and rapid growth as of late, and as a result, we’ve been forced to make tough decisions. We are incredibly grateful for the contributions made by each of the individuals impacted – they will be missed by their colleagues and friends at IT Authorities. Also, we have worked hard to build a company where people are valued and feel empowered to succeed and grow. We subscribe to industry research and tools to ensure that our compensation schedule is in line with current market values based on skillset and experience. We also believe that bonuses and raises, although not a guarantee, are something that should be evaluated by the manager when an employee has gone above and beyond. We encourage you to discuss your comments and concerns with People Operations, our doors are always open.
