    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Informa Connect full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Potential for limited commission Colleagues are nice Possibility for travel abroad

    Cons

Commission structure effectively limits the commission Very strict daily targets about dials and call time. When you're not hitting these they can sometimes threaten to not pay your commission. Very limited scope to make the job your own. Incredibly 1 dimensional role The size of the company makes it difficult to notice your impact Very little effort to make an enjoyable company culture

  4. "Great place to work, culture and environment is casual but professional"

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Informa Connect full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Open conversations - The commission is always pushed by managers to be met - Ongoing training - Great relationships with managers - Multiple Events to sell on - Incentives for motivation - Flexible working hours - Positive to anything you do outside of work - Great company events - Very social place to work

    Cons

    - Lack of career progression - Various loopholes for commission eg. people booking against you online goes against your sales - Lack of support from marketing, sponsorship and production sometimes not on the same page regarding who should be contacted - Can be strenuous going through the data somewhat like a robot - Hardly ever go to events depending on what portfolio you work in

"Bad management hidden under an appearance of great culture"

I have been working at Informa Connect full-time

    Pros

You can work from home one day a week. You have a flexible hour of entry. They organize drinks in the office each month and a half.

    Cons

Management don´t value your work. They are really demanding and don´t care about you. No training on your role, you have to chase the management asking for it. Management can talk to you in a really bad way from time to time taking advantage of their position. If you are from abroad and your english is not perfect, good luck! things are not going to be easy for you at all. In the interview they don´t mention that there is a lot of admin stuff to do. Also, they say you are going to manage 4 or 5 events and you end up managing 12 or more.

I worked at Informa Connect full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Staff are lovely. People who remember the ‘good old days’ were really positive about how the company could get back to the previous enjoyable environment

    Cons

Total restructuring meant bonuses weren’t paid for over a year, senior management were more concerned with their appearances to executives than their teams
