Pros

As a college student being an SSA at Jackson has many pros. Ranging from flexibility, workload, amazing management and company culture.

Cons

One of the only downsides that I have had at Jackson is the entry level work that you do as an SSA is very repetitive, but that will quickly change as long as you communicate with your manager that you want to gain more skills.

Pros

-Good pay -Some managers care about the people they oversee

Cons

Double standards galore, consistant stall tactics for moving forward, a TON of corporate jargon, HR dept has no investigations team so they believe everything they hear.

Pros

Great cafeteria. Lots of exercise walking through the huge parking lot & giant campus. As a person who had no experience in the financial services industry, I did learn a lot.

Cons

Opportunity for growth & advancement are low unless you know someone. Very micro-managing with processing times. Many employees do their job incorrectly causing problems & processing delays. The managers tell you not to waste your time fixing them, rather they just want you to continue processing incorrectly.

Pros

- Flexible schedule once fully trained - Opportunities for job shadowing (with manager approval) - Ability to learn multiple skills (data entry, indexing, triage calls, and more) - Self-paced training videos for onboarding - Clean, spacious office with walking space during breaks - Some great cafeteria snacks and access to amenities (gym, cafeteria)

Cons

- Internal advancement is highly competitive, even for entry-level roles - Pay is relatively low for SSA roles at $14/hr, especially when compared to roles in departments like IT or the Security Operations Center, which typically earn more based on job function - Training delays due to system/skilling issues (e.g., Avaya setup) - Very repetitive work with inconsistent daily workload - Amenities like gym/outdoor areas are rarely usable during work hours - Outdated training materials that don’t reflect current systems - Lack of transparency during termination process
