      Toxic - Choose very carefully if this is an option

      Pros

      Ability to work on leading technology with a dedicated team. Projects are across many verticals, so you receive exposure to a variety of different learning or assessment models in various businesses.

      Cons

      Top level management are the complete opposite of the core values they rate everyone by. Staff are asked to work unrealistic deadlines and bullied/harassed when things go wrong. Never seen so many staff leave a company due to bullying from senior management.

      Pros

      They never say no leading to crazy goals and agreements. Met some really nice, smart people in the trenches.

      Cons

      Toxic bullying and arrogance from ownership, treating devs like a call centre. Micromanagement hell with agile gone mad and constant stress and pressure, long working hours that are never enough.

      My biggest career mistake

      Pros

      There are some good managers whose decision making and good intentions are obfuscated by the senior leadership. Good opportunity to learn about e-learning and few technical challenges.

      Cons

      Unrealistic timelines set by a despotic senior management with questionable working ethics. The management lacks of basic management criteria to address the needs of the projects and deadlines. They leadership rules the company by imposing fear and bullying employees using harsh performance feedback, aggressive talks and disrespect. Making every performance review (1 every 3 months) an element of fear and anxiety. It does not matter how hard employees work, how many extra hours they work during public holidays and weekends, how much they push themselves over the edge to go the extra mile, it's never enough. You will always have to do MORE. There is no career progress for Sydney employees. The salaries are not competitive at all.
