Dear colleague, We are happy to hear that you like Jimdo’s mission, culture and team. We find all of these things very inspiring too! Thank you for sharing this feedback about the frequency of meetings. In the latest survey responses among employees we also observe that some employees feel like there are too many meetings. We are keeping an eye open on what is happening in the industry. It seems to be a common pain point for distributed/ hybrid companies. We will work on addressing this issue and empower teams to design the meeting cadence that serves their needs. To your last point, when we invite someone to work with us, we always hope that we will work together for a long time. However, as you said, there have been instances when people left Jimdo shortly after starting for various reasons.

Pros

- Good work life balance - A lot hired in the last few years who dont allign with the company culture - The CEO makes a team call with new hires and seems to be a characmatic person.

Cons

- When I joined Jimdo it had a rating of 4+ now its down to 3.1 and that says it all. I was interviewed by a very friendly hiring manager who inspired me to join the company. But then restructing happened and I was made to work for a toxic manager. This restructuring happened within 2 months of me joining so it was pre-planned but was not disclosed to me during the interview. I realised within 6 months that I wont be able to get on well with the new person so was forced to resign. - A exit interview was scheduled with HR on the last working day where I thought of giving this as a feedback for improvement, but the call was cancelled at the last moment as HR probably expected negative feedback. Thats why I had to turn to public media to highlight my bitter experience.

Dear Former Jimdoer, Thank you for sharing your review with us. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed a good work-life balance during your time at Jimdo and appreciate your kind words about our CEO and co-founder, Matthias Henze. We noticed that you parted ways with Jimdo over a year ago and are only now writing your review. Over the past 12-24 months, Jimdo has undergone significant professionalization and growth, and some of your feedback, where relevant, may no longer be applicable. We understand that change can be challenging, especially when your hiring manager changes shortly after you onboard. Due to the dynamic nature of our business and the markets we serve, we must continuously adapt our organizational structure and business strategies to best support our customers. Success at Jimdo requires embracing a fast-paced environment and being comfortable with a degree of uncertainty. We're sorry that the exit interview did not go ahead as planned. Currently, we do an exit interview with every Jimdoer before they leave because we value their feedback and contribution to Jimdo—whether short or long in tenure. We apologize that you did not have this opportunity, so if you have any further comments you’d like to share, please feel free to email employee-experience@jimdo.com. Thank you again for taking the time to provide your feedback about your experience at Jimdo, even after several months have passed since you left. We appreciate your input.
