Pros

Decent people across the company Good benefits First 1.5-2 years was amazing for culture and work/life balance but not since (24/25)

Cons

Leadership operates in an echo chamber of “yes-people,” lacking vision, passion, and real customer understanding. Senior hires often have less relevant recruitment experience than junior staff. Decisions are frequently poor, poorly executed, and fail to create meaningful product or strategic impact. Despite being a recruitment-focused company, they have made several problematic hires. High leadership turnover: four CFOs in four years; C-suite and directors often last less than six months. Shift toward overly corporate culture has erased the previously loved start-up vibe. Product quality is declining while competitors advance and surpass them. Sales structure is underdeveloped and heavily dictated by RevOps.

Pros

Trying to maintain a friendly culture and provide a good service. Trying to catch up to competition with better customer service.

Cons

UK team always waiting around for Australian team say so. Australia team have everything sorted but some parts of UK are several steps away from decisions that aren’t ever/effectively communicated through team managers. Some team managers definitely don’t want to manage people and are not shy about telling their team, makes people feel unwanted and looking for support elsewhere. So many Slack channels it’s hard to keep track of which one to go to for information and several are made up of exactly the same people. More systems to learn and use daily than you can count on one hand. Two different finance systems ?? Why?? And one is awful. Absolutely no foresight of operational organisation even with the impressively experience leadership team, so there are often sudden scrambles to sort out something that should have been a small issue months ago or not at all. UK team doesn’t have monthly or weekly meetings, so all relationship support is down to the individual to make and maintain, let alone find out what the rest of the team is doing. One on one meetings are arranged, rearranged and cancelled with little or no notice to the individual.

Great people - bad management

Pros

You’ll meet some of the most positive and talented people you’ve ever met here. It’s a genuinely great product. Great perks with generous holidays, birthday off and afternoons off in the summer

Cons

If you don’t work in the head office, you might as well be contractors. Decisions are made and dictated without proper consultation or risk assessment. The people who get rewarded and promoted are the ones who are good at talking and playing politics.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, also for the kind words about our people and product (I agree)! Sorry that your entire experience wasn't a positive one. Connection across all of our distributed workforce is incredibly important but tricky. We will continue to prioritise regional and global connection. All the best for the future!
