The company either doesn’t have the money or refuses to invest in IT. IT staff are asked to do so many things outside of their scope of responsibility and then punished for not delivering. Clinical staff is out of touch with IT staffing resources. They think that just because they are critical to the patient we can snap our fingers and give them what they want. We can’t do it that fast. You can care for a patient as well as anyone (I’ve seen it) but can you care for 100 patients at once? No? Neither can we.
