I have been working at Kenexa

    Pros

I've been working in the company for over 4 years now - it's been a solid learning curve and from day one I enjoyed the level of autonomy and trust I received from my seniors and management as well as the tools and guidance the company offers with regards to professional development and the level of challenge. I have had the opportunity to work within few different teams and each time the experience has been fantastic as I met a good number of professional and committed individuals that embraced old good Kenexa values of putting the client first, taking initiative and laughing our way through a problem.

    Cons

New, wider structure may be confusing at first - it takes time to get your head round all the new processes etc.

I have been working at Kenexa full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I have worked here for nearly 18 months and have developed my skills and career more here than with any other company. IBM and in particular Kenexa give you the tools to develop your career in a way you want to, giving huge autonomy and thus allowing creativity within your own work. You are thoroughly encouraged to develop your own style that is successful to you, your team, and the client.

    Cons

You can be given a huge amount of responsibility, some individuals see this as a negative aspect, however others will embrace this and run with the opportunity to progress their career.

I worked at Kenexa full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Some great people and values

    Cons

Senior management were just sales people...they could have been selling widgets. Not much real understanding of the benefits of HR and what it can do for a business. The internal HR processes and approach to employees was very basic and not as developed as you would expect from a company selling HR products...but as a company dominated by Sales people it was easy to see why.

I worked at Kenexa full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good sales processes and a strong customer proposition. Global capability appealed to many customers and the largest customers were very well account managed.

    Cons

Company made a big deal about how it cares about its staff whereas the reality was very different. The hypocrisy simply added salt to the wound. Product development and customer delivery were weak with account managers having to firefight problems and broken promises.

I have been working at Kenexa

    Pros

Nice colleagues and good work/life balance.

    Cons

The senior management team do not do what they promise. They say all employees would have a salary increase but never say a change in my pay-slip. The way the bonus pool is determined is far from transparent.

I worked at Kenexa full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Colleagues were friendly, hard working and generally lovely. The office put on a number of different activities (picnics etc) and the teams were able to socialize and get to know each other. Very comfortable working environment and good support from other departments.

    Cons

The company was changing way too rapidly and procedures, staff, managers were all changing just as fast without the opportunity to learn new procedures. There was also a weird culture of nepotism that others were not happy about. Some senior management were also too forceful and rude to some staff...
