Pros

While the business is in growth mode and extremely fast-paced, the ethos allows employees to enjoy a balance between work life and personal life. The team are smart, ambitious and all moving in the same direction. The company runs a fairly flat structure with all voices being listened to and heard before management make decisions that will affect the wider team. Finally, it's pretty refreshing to come to work each day and know that the work you are doing is making a tangible positive impact on the world around you.

Cons

As a small business, the salaries are not as competitive as you might like, but when you compare the hourly rates to those working with big salaries inside big consultancies, you're really much better off at Kin&Co.

Pros

- Totally purpose- and values-driven: everything we do is aligned to these, meaning we all have a shared goal and reason to get out of bed - to fix the way the world works! - Great work/life balance: we believe that our wellbeing is fundamental to us being able to do our job well. We have pioneered the Wednesday Off-ternoon (working a half day on Wednesday to give ourselves time to recharge in the middle of the week), work flexibly and rarely work outside of our hours - Punching above our weight: whilst a relatively small consultancy still, we are growing fast, hire amazingly talented people and get to work with some of the world's biggest and most exciting companies - We believe in common sense and staying playful: there's a ban on corporate jargon and we disrupt the consultancy sector with our plain speaking, playful tone that ensures we enjoy our work and our clients enjoy working with us - Rigorous interview process: we make sure we only have the best people and those who are truly aligned to our purpose, so take interviews very seriously and ensure our new starters have a 6 month probation period to allow us to get to know each other properly - No complaining, internal politics or infighting: we have a culture of open and honest feedback and take this very seriously, making sure we provide feedback in a way that is constructive and empathetic - We're go-getters and make stuff happen: no one we hire is happy with the status quo and we're all hungry for creating change. Whether we have the relevant experience or not, we're not afraid to be brave, try new things and take risks. That goes for big pitches, learning new skills and starting new internal initiatives. - Flat hierarchy: we're not precious about job titles and all work as equals, recognising we all have different skills and experience. We're not afraid to provide hard feedback or call each other out where it's needed, no matter what level we work at.

Cons

- Salaries that match the market rate: as a relatively young company, Kin&Co doesn't pay the big salaries of some of the much bigger consultancies out there, but does pay in line with the wider market rates and operates transparent salary brackets for everyone
