Pros

A paycheck and benefits- but mainly a waste of time. The company is full of nepotism and stupid people.

Cons

The CFO is very unprofessional; he often sent emails in the middle of the night. The company hires and fires rapidly; it's not uncommon for 5-6 people to be in the same position in a year. The manager didn't provide any leadership or guidance on any of the projects and was often evasive and rude. The team would have 2 hour meetings to discuss how to get out of doing projects. This is a place to go if you need money, but keep looking. They will fire you without notice via text or a phone call. The company hits the targets to avoid getting called out by government oversight for cost/labor mismanagement.

Pros

Some of the original hires are the cornerstone of this company. It's not just a "job" to them. They value the employees and actively seek their feedback on the company culture, staff, and other organizational components that made Knowesis unique.

Cons

The company made poor staffing decisions in some of its key administrative positions. For example, it placed an individual in a human resources/operations role who commonly lied, antagonized staff, and said and did things that warranted legal action. Senior management regularly intervened to address the staff person's incompetence on HR-related matters and poor attitude. Knowesis eventually outsourced its benefits to a third-party vendor. It was not for the best! Employees then had to call a 1-800 number for questions that it used to be able to get a quick answer in an email. At best, the vendor would take your questions and never get back to you. The vendor's representatives were mostly rude and unfriendly on the call.

PTO Great, Client Poor

Pros

Company offers 4 weeks PTO which is better than the standard 3. Telework was an option for the contract I was on.

Cons

Not the company's fault but the client I worked for in Alexandria VA was a nightmare and the company gave the client full license to treat the employees poorly.
