I have to preface this with the fact that I love working for LPL and believed in the mission of the company.
LPL has changed in the past few months. The CEO went from blaring his horn about "Be Great From Anywhere" and we used that as a recruitment strategy. I was a benefactor of this strategy being hired out of state from any office location. After two years here, I truly thought I'd have a future of growth, but that quickly changed in the past few months.
Now the strategy is "Be Great From One Of Our Office Locations"... No mention from the CEO about how his push for us to hire remote talent all across the US, are now faced with either moving across the country to keep their job or be forced to look for a new job in what is still a bad labor market. All that was said is a statement about a vague timeline of when you'd likely need to be back in office but also check with your org.
Pretty disappointed with how things have changed here, and uncertain of my own future here after this. Honestly, this feels more like a way for them to conduct a layoff without calling it a layoff - get everyone remote to quit or be laid off due to not moving.
