Employee moral is horrible! New director, Ingrid Norris not Ana Grandfield as listed, has become a dictator and does not care about community intimacy. Board of directors has a former head of the library on it who is a colleague of the current director. There is no impartiality. Over a dozen long-time employees jumped ship the day before the new director took the helm. Administration does not understand the trust and respect long-time employees earn within the community they serve. Mistakenly believes patrons don't care who works there as long as they can get the items they want. Employees are used like pawns in a chess game to anger anyone who questions decisions made by the administration. Only those who will follow every order are hired for management jobs. Newly promoted, young, reference librarians.who were educated in under-performing high schools are an embarrassment. It's obvious that good grammar and spelling aren't required to be a reference librarian.They perpetuate their horrible oral and writing skills as they "help" the public.

-coworkers. oftentimes have nothing better to do than gossip. if you're on their good side, everything goes smoothly. But there is always someone they pick on behind their back in particular. Typically newest person on staff. -management doesn't manage. Expect to be on your own when it comes to disputes. Management is frequently too nice and won't fire coworkers that are so bad that you will hate your shifts with them. Managers are all nice caring people, but they are not good at managing. -not enough hours available if you're looking for a job to support yourself. Mainly a job for people who want minimal responsibility and just some spending money.
