Pros

Company has room for growth

Cons

The supervisors are fully aware that the workload is unreasonable, yet they remain silent, which puts new hires in a difficult position. If newcomers voice concerns about the workload, they end up looking bad in comparison. Favoritism is rampant, with the director and long-time supervisors—who all started as CAs—sharing a close-knit bond and being far less welcoming than they seem. New supervisors are given minimal training despite high expectations, and the workplace is filled with gossip and subtle bullying, resembling high school dynamics. The workload exceeds 50 hours a week, often extending into weekends, leaving no room for work-life balance. The old team tends to unite against anyone they don't like

Pros

casual dress, great young colleagues, snacks, downtown location

Cons

Inconsistency of training, lack of communication between and among leadership, overworked with heavy workload expected to easily manage 100+ cases, underpaid, unappreciated, they constantly ask for feedback just to ignore our concerns, you could ask the same question to 4 different supervisors and you will get minimum 3 different answers, the non-member facing departments cause so much trouble to the member services by not adequately doing their jobs then we are told "you all are the backbone of the company", the job that they describe during the interview is not at all what you actually do so you are blindsided during training, it just gives call center vibes, no structure at all, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING DOWNTOWN EVERY DAY

Pros

Great Mission and Product bringing help to people who need it. Great Company Culture Leadership is open to feedback/communication Start Up so you will be able to move up quickly compared to other companies.

Cons

Start up so you might be doing more than what you believe your role entails. Coaching from leadership on how to do better could do with some work, but is getting much better. Bonus focused payouts so you need to meet metrics. That being said it isn't hard to meet those metrics if you are doing your role. Supervisors are spread too thin so if you don't vocalize your need for help you might be left behind.

Pros

The people that you work with, some are very helpful and I enjoyed working with them.

Cons

All the cons in the world, supervisors are terrible and play favorite and have no real experience in a supervisory other than being at the company for longer than others. Micromanage you to death, monitor your every move so you stay in queue as long as possible. Offer no real help for ca’s and the lack of training is terrible as they teach you once and expect for you to excel without proper guidance. Supervisors are never at their desk, they’re either in a “meeting” or making Starbucks runs. Do not work here if you are not ready for unrealistic deadlines and personable supervisors all around the same age that do not know what they’re doing. Worst company I have ever worked for. This job is supposed to be about the member and empathy but quality control will run your scores into the ground and keep you from attaining bonuses because of instances they do not like. There is no consistency within the job as far as management, supervisors and case work. Every one has different ways of doing the job so you never get cut and dry answers. The break time is atrocious and they have no respect for employees with real life issues and expect you to be a robot. They will not let you work from home unless you are “sick” but will hound you to prove that something is wrong with you and once they find out you’re sick they will not let you work from home.

Hi - Thank you for the thoughtful feedback. I am sorry to hear you feel you were not properly trained for your role with our team, All of our Care Advocates go through extensive training for nearly 6 weeks. Throughout that training, new hires have the opportunity to complete multiple exams to ensure they understand all of the various components of the role. Care Advocates are required to pass a final exam before speaking with members. Over the last year that team has almost tripled in size! Fortunately, this has created promotional opportunities within that team- allowing us to promote several people from Care Advocate to supervisor. This has been a great training opportunity for people who are ready to take on leadership roles within our company. As newer leaders within our company, we intend to provide more support and focus on enhancing those skills so they can successfully guide and lead the team. It is true as we have scaled we have evolved our processes and we have faced consistency challenges. To solve that we have brought in a knowledge management team and are excited to soon launch more accessible on demand resources to better equip our CAs! It is also true that this team works onsite. This ensures we can maintain high quality standards for our clients and members, and allow for real time support when needed- as every case is different. When employees are sick, we do not encourage them to work from home, instead we prefer they take paid time off so they have ample time to rest and recover. We appreciate all of the feedback, and will be sure to take the information back to our team so we can ensure these things are top of mind as we continue to grow our team.

Pros

People you work with, customers at times the job you are doing, Cindy (trainer), Rachel

Cons

Toxic work environment, Supervisors are very catty and petty. Beware of those who act so sweet but are evil in disguise. Certain co-workers are very judgmental. They treat you as a number not employee. Job where POC are welcomed and are in roles of leadership but are not unified. They will throw another POC under the bus in seconds.
