- pay raises are nonexistent, thanks to Cengage acquisition, unless you get a promotion
- some not-so-diligent coworkers, making you feel like a fool for working so hard for the same pay with no hope of a raise

- could be more diverse in engineering and executive areas (largely white, Asian, male, as in most of tech and executive areas)
- office is falling apart with ceiling leakages/debris, fumes from restaurants below stinking up the air
- Cengage uses ridiculous rules to get around DC laws so that they don't pay out your unused vacation if you leave the company and make your rollover sick leave effectively useless, limiting you to the sick leave you accrue in one year. so use it or lose it.
- executive direction changes somewhat often, leaving individual contributors confused
