Pros

People were mostly nice. It was somewhat steady for a while.

Cons

Okay, where do I begin? Everyone knows document review is unpredictable and boring, BUT the communication aspect of project availability was spotty. A project started that lasted two months and I was happy, however, it suddenly ended and I never came back. After a while, I realized people were very petty. People will complain about everything and never tell you to your face. It's all little (petty) things. For example, someone had tracked in gasoline on their shoes and someone supposedly totally went insane about the smell. Also, if you cook something that someone doesn't like, or you are chewing loudly, someone will complain--not to your face, but to management. Then you get called in and spoken to about your food choices. I'm chuckling now just thinking about it. There was nowhere to eat your food besides your little desk space unless you ate in your car or ate somewhere else. About the projects being spotty, I felt like there was some talking going on like, "Let's not call this one back because he eats food that other people don't like. Therefore, we don't like this person." Oh, but when they are short on people, they will call you. The scheme works like this: when no one is billing hours, they don't make money. So, if a client is billing L2 $50 (or maybe even more) per hour, they will pay the employees only $25. They will call you when they have no one else because they are desperate. All in all, I did everything I was supposed to do with rarely any mistakes and people were shady. Also, the medical insurance is expensive. I will never understand how unstable jobs can provide medical insurance for gappy project availability.

Pros

nice shiny office (although no longer used)

Cons

this place is all lip service, expects you to jump when and as often as they say jump or you have a "core value issue". meanwhile, the respect and dedication they demand is in no way returned. this place is so poorly managed it's almost unbelievable. they've squandered their own potential while taking advantage of the very employees whose work ethic and determination alone have kept the place going thus far. then they terminated most of their employees to convert them to contractors.

Pros

The management is super-friendly and genuinely cares about the employees. Weekend or night work is rare but it's always the project managers and lead reviewers who are in the trenches with you. The pay is decent and the benefits are understandably limited; however, this is more full-time than occasional project work. There's great flexibility for people who need to take care of their family's needs. One of the real strengths is that quality teams get assembled by the managers to tackle various projects, providing leadership opportunities to a variety of folks

Cons

The main downsides are the inherent limitations of document review. Projects come and go, so there can be gaps; however, the project managers are very good about keeping opportunities coming at worst, every other week.
