I worked at Levi Strauss full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Amazing people in both store and regional staff.

    Cons

Personal shopping experience and community/store relations ruined through pushy targets and staff cuts.

    Advice to Management

Spend less money on fancy presentations and dinners for management and more on store staff and incentives in turn building teams and team spirit.

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Levi Strauss part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The team is lovely and the discounts & benefits are great, pay is above minimum wage. Training and targets make it more satisfying as does customer interaction.

    Cons

The business is obsessed with KPIs and we get weekly reviews on them every week, far too intense for part time work. Very stressful if you don’t meet targets for several consecutive weeks as management will compare you to other employees and insinuate that you might get fired even if they can see on the shop floor that you’re trying your best to help customers. Hires everyone on an 8hr contract but unwilling to cut down hours to minimum if you ask.

    Advice to Management

    - Insinuating employees will be fired for not meeting targets is demotivating and upsetting for employees especially when they have little control over what customers want to buy - Don’t hire students on 8hr contracts if you aren’t willing for them to only work 8 hours a week.
