Pros

Work independently as a nurse assessor for long term health benefits subcontracted out by insurance companies through LifePlans. Pay per job, depending on the type of assessment. Make your own schedule, and work as many or as little assessments as you want. Map out your own region, where you are willing to travel.

Cons

Unfortunately with this kind of work, it can be an ebb and flow of referrals for assessments, depending on where you live and the time of year. No guarantees. You also do not get reimbursed for travel expenses, ie mileage. There is no one "go-to" you can rely on for questions. they should assign one particular person you can count on when needed. Communication is not the greatest

Pros

Some of the coworkers are very intelligent and very intelligent. The management is very polite. Those are the best things I can say about the company.

Cons

They recognize the problems and do absolutely nothing to fix them. Afraid of change, all talk no action. Tons of finger pointing and CYA is priority one for management.

Very flexible schedule. You can schedule yourself every day of the week. Work from the comfort of your own home

Cons

Lots of "unpaid" computer training and work done Very unreliable job Pay is not enough for work done No benefits or incentives If their System shutdown in the middle of assessment, then you end up not getting paid for everything done; waste of time on many occasions Lack of effective communication and provision of resources to do the work Some of the assessment reviewers can be demanding and impolite
