Some interesting work, plenty of overtime, some very skilled people on the shop floor

Cons

Zero communication on business decisions being made. Managers ask you to perform dangerous tasks and aren't afraid to put you in harms way. People are deliberately held back from progressing and fulfilling their full potential The "old guard" of managers can do as they like and act on a "do as I say, not as I do" mentality

You'll meet some nice people

Seems like management haven't had much management training. There's quite the blame culture too where more recent staff will be thrown under the bus when the proverbial hits the fan. I have witnessed this first hand. Also a certain degree of favouritism where some are rewarded for very little and some ignored after doing a lot or generally just treated differently. Quite a few of the staff have been there for a long time and there's no chance of progressing. Those older staff also get preferential treatment so prepare yourself for that
