Empowered to build from the ground up: Being part of LiveKit in its formative stages has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. I’ve had the opportunity to shape our culture, define our operational practices, and create onboarding, hiring, people frameworks that actually reflect who we are and where we’re going. Collaborative and mission-driven team: Everyone here is genuinely invested in our mission and in each other. There's no ego—just people working hard and with heart. Cutting-edge work in AI and real-time infrastructure: We’re not just adjacent to the AI wave—we’re in it. It's exciting to work on tech that's pushing boundaries and powering some of the most innovative experiences out there. Supportive leadership: Leadership trusts you to lead. They encourage ownership and give you the space to bring ideas to life. High agency, low bureaucracy: There’s a “just go for it” spirit here that’s rare and energizing. Things move fast, and people are encouraged to iterate and improve constantly.
Cons
[These are not really cons for some people] If you’re someone who needs a lot of structure or direction, the ambiguity and pace might be overwhelming. We’re still building many of our systems, so adaptability is key. With a small, focused team, everyone wears multiple hats—which can stretch you thin at times. But if you're energized by impact, it’s a great fit.
