Really feel like I am part of a team and getting the chance to work with new technologies in hardware and software - quite rare in the uk to be part of something truly "full-stack".
Cons
It is a startup and you need to be a bit more self-reliant than in larger organisations.

Pros
Working at Living Optics for the past couple of years has been amazing. The team are very passionate about what we are developing and the problems it will solve. The fact that we are working on bleeding edge technology and the most interesting problems in machine learning is a nice bonus too! I am never bored and always excited to continue to develop our Hyperspectral technology. The remote first culture is great for me as a fully (99%) remote worker.
Cons
I honestly can't think of any, I am so happy in the job. I guess not being able to be in the office as often as I would like due to living several hundred miles away is a con but this hasn't hindered my ability to contribute to the culture, direction or technical development of the company.
