    Pros

You get treated like an adult, and are actually paid a fair wage - not to mention you the amount of time and energy they invest in you to progress with your career.

    Cons

Nothing notable, I would recommend to anyone.

    Advice to Management

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Lloyd's full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Most roles are relatively easy to learn and to perform to a decent standard without much effort, once you get past the thousands of acronyms designed to make work appear more technical it really is, the work is rather numbing. People are pleasant, the brand is well known and there is no shortage of extra-curricular activities to get involved in.

    Cons

The Old Guard mentality is frightening. Women and minorities have a tough ride, despite Inga's attempts at expanding the diversity agenda. There is great animosity between 'Company' and 'Market', which each side blaming each other for the organisation's inability to improve efficiencies and retain market share. Every year or so there is a new futile attempt at modernisation which typically achieves very little... beyond increasing the share of liabilities in the balance sheet. Not odd, considering the old guard is still in charge of effecting changes designed to diminish their influence.

    Advice to Management

Senior Leadership - look for something better while you still have chances. Middle Management - retire.

I have been working at Lloyd's full-time for more than a year

    Pros

30 days annual leave and really generous benefits.

    Cons

Management structure there to server management structure, little chance of progression.

    Advice to Management

Rather than continually bringing in contractors maybe look at the capabilities of current staff, or at least go back to their CVs rather than assuming they are only capable of the work they are given.
