Toxic, Divided, and Top-Heavy work environment

Pros

Equally competitive compensation in the local industry (salary, health care, 401k, etc.)

Cons

- Group Discussions are avoided, the program manager tends to be the only person who sets the tone by structure. Employee collaboration and ideas to perform does not come to life. -This is a small company that is divided into multiple satellite teams with no lateral communication. One will most likely not experience the whole company but rather their assigned project team only. This leaves little room for growth and networking opportunity for any employee. - The HR department is minimally aware of company culture. It is ignorant of the toxic personalities and internal politics of the company. This may also be attributed to the division of the company into satellite teams. - There is a social and professional superficiality amongst employees. In one conversation operations may appear smoothly on track but one can expect breakdowns from the same people in the same week. This is an inauthentic group of people.

Pros

The salary is decent and they provide good benefits

Cons

My goodness this is the weirdest and most stressful place I’ve ever worked. My blood pressure skyrocketed after I started working there. They use tactics of intimidation, passive aggressive attacks against your job security to demean you and make you feel like your job is always at risks. Everyone is afraid they’ll be retaliated against if they express any issue. And it doesn’t matter whether they knew of a problem or not, ultimately they expect you not to complain or mention anything about it. They use a remote hr company and they’re horrible. I’ve heard so many conversations from management stating they didn’t care about employees or their problems. If you work there all of these things I mentioned get revealed in no time. You’ll see it. Be careful. They have a high turnover rate for a reason. Any positive reviews on this site or other sites liked LinkedIn are all forced. Employees are forced to give positive reviews and participate in group reviews. So don’t believe it. Honestly they have the potential to turn things around but they’re shortsighted. There’s just too much manipulation, bullying and shenanigans going on. It’s the reason why it takes them so long to complete projects. Getting promoted will never happen because they’ll only promote those they like personally. They discriminate against everyone they dislike. For instance, there are project managers there with years of experience but have never been promoted or given a raise because they dislike them.

Pros

Competitive financial compensation. Provides necessary equipment to perform duties.

Cons

This company had self-serving opinionated leadership. There was high favoritism for older employees who simply wanted to protect their jobs. It is not a good environment for young people and collaboration for innovative ideas.
