Large, comprehensive high school provides well rounded range of opportunities. You will be able to work with teachers/students from a variety of backgrounds culturally, economically. Well rounded school in population representation! The staff is shifting but has a "home-grown" focus where many of the teachers are alumni of Cleveland HS themselves so they are loyal and committed to the school.
Cons
The administration is terribly political and biased. All schools are political but here the work of getting rid of older, more experienced but expensive teachers is a clear agenda. Favoritism and outright violation of laws and rules are ongoing because of a few key players in power positions. The principal and five of the upper administration are all alumni of Cleveland and work together to legally get rid of staff that will not march to their drumbeat.
