Pros

The third party independent contractors have some very relevant experience. Limited to US.

Cons

Not very professional leadership team. Pushy sales of average product that needs heavy customer incentives to survive against better competitive products.

Thank you for your feedback. The nature of our business means we rarely get to meet all our colleagues working around the world. However, if you had been at our annual company event in Florida last year, you would have met colleagues from China, Germany, the UK as well as from N and S America. Of course, we believe our Total Value Optimization approach is more than an “average product”, it’s also received resounding external endorsement from Global Supply Chain Institute, whose executive director said: “The Total Value Optimization framework, resting on a foundation of data analytics, is the best approach we have seen to achieve integrated supply chain excellence in logistics, operations and procurement.” We’re not perfect, but our leadership team has steered the company through a period of rapid growth and our sales approach has helped Maine Pointe win TVO engagements that put us head to head with some of the industry’s heavy hitters.

Pros

Very focused and compelling value proposition for CEOs and PE firms. It's all about delivering measurable results for clients. Forward looking and pragmatic approach to engagement.

Cons

Being an international company means you don't spend as much time with certain colleagues as I would like.

Pros

The finance group pays on time.

Cons

The people at Maine Pointe will lure you in with talk of opportunity and visibility because it is a small company. Talk to people who have worked there to get the truth. There is no long range planning, and no respect for people. It is all about making money. They think nothing of making thoughtless hiring decisions and then firing people almost immediately if they are perceived as not doing the job, but they had no training, support or help to be successful, and get no notice at all. These are not losers who get fired. They are people who have been very successful at other companies. They preach their values which are all talk and no walk. Starting at the leadership, they show no respect for their people and think nothing of giving you a big smile and in the next minute backstabbing you to your teammates and throwing you under the bus, not to mention the numerous inappropriate comments made on people's backgrounds. The way people talk to each other is unbelievable. Yelling, insults and rude comments are the norm in meetings. Giving feedback to HR and management does not make a difference. They will not make the tough decisions when they need to. The turnover tells the story. They have had numerous and constant changes in leadership in a very short timeframe. The turnover at all levels is rampant as well. Talk to people who have worked there to get the truth. You will be hard pressed to find someone who left on good terms, and has good things to say.

We appreciate your opinion. However, We would expect these sort of concerns would be brought up in a more formal manner with HR - it's clear you chose a different path which is unfortunate. We conduct exit interviews in the majority of cases. It's part of continuously improving. Never do we hear that yelling, insults and rude comments are the norm. With the senior model that Maine Pointe has, you'll typically find highly experience professionals having passionate debates. We're sorry you're unaware of the "20/20 Vision" which the leadership put forth at the last All Hands Meeting in November of 2015. Perhaps we need to do a better job of communicating the long range planning which you thought was non-existent. Hiring and firing decisions are taken seriously by the leadership - multiple people are always involved and they take a substantial amount of time to come to an agreement. All MP resources have a significant impact, especially given we're a mid-sized business, so if someone is not producing results or living by the MP values, they will quickly be exposed and handled appropriately. We also encourage candidates to speak with at least three people who work here for their unique perspectives. Its unfortunate to your experience was not as positive as so many others.
