Pros

The office space is nice and has an open floor plan for a creative atmosphere. There are a couple rooms (more like offices) that could be used for more private conversations if need be. The location of the office in relation to other venues in the area is good... lots of restaurants in walking distance. It's also located right by the Pink Line Morgan stop which is good for commuting. Free soda in the kitchen for all to share.

Cons

Upper management was unclear about how to work with project managers. They wanted to be involved in every little detail and didn't let the project managers do their job they were hired to do. Definitely micromanagement. There wasn't a good clear vision for the future of the company and our customers didn't seem to enjoy working with us... they just kept working with us because we had "contracts" and "retainers." There were moments when upper management would say things to customers that were white lies and it felt like we were making things up a lot. If you were a designer or a developer, you were much more respected than anything else.

Pros

Very small company if that's what you like, decent benefits, good location.

Cons

The president/owner micromanages to a severe fault. There is no real feedback or training given. There is also no established method nor does there appear a promise to be one. It seems the owner does not know what tools he needs to grow and develop a good team. He also does not seen to understand his business but will not trust his team to help.

Pros

Small team with good agile process. Fairly flexible on schedules and have accommodated doctors appointments and such. Not as much bureaucracy and micro managing as I've experienced at other agencies.

Cons

There is a diverse range of projects and clients -- and they don't focus on any one industry--so you have to learn about a number of different clients/businesses. Don't do any print or graphic design work - strictly digital.
