Pros

You have unlimited vacation (providing you aren't fired and it is approved by your manager)

Cons

It pretends to be a tech company with all of the bells and whistles most tech companies offer their employees, unfortunately, it fails on the most important factors - EDI, job security and autonomy. What started off as a cool idea has soon descended into complete and utter chaos. Since the company has laid off large numbers of the team, the founders have stepped in and decided that they need to "go back to" a time when they somehow micromanaged every decision and were involved in every meeting. I don't know why they think this is a good idea. I'm also not sure what has happened in this time since "then", because they are making life untenable for every employee and don't seem to be the right people to lead these teams. The reasons for the layoffs seem to be particularly opaque and the whole company is talking about who is next. The CEO had an all-hands explaining to us that no one has any job security and we should all be happy to work at such an exciting company. They have no idea how to run a company or engage their teams to perform. I will be moving on imminently and most of my team feels the same. This is 100% not worth the stresses we go through for the benefits we get in return. There are some managers who are actually realy supportive and I feel bad for them posting this, but honestly it's getting so bad here I can't imagine them sticking around for much longer.

Thanks for your note. We are passionate about continuing to build a great company here at MarketerHire, and as a startup, change is an intrinsic part of our DNA. While we see this change and evolution as inevitable and in the best interest of our team and customers, we also acknowledge at times that change can come with a cost, especially for those team members most impacted as we continue to grow. That said, we welcome the opportunity to get more context on your feedback and discuss more about how you think we can improve. You can reach me anytime at hr@marketerhire.com. Best, Leslie L. Pros

Great concept, unlimited PTO and outstanding HR department

Cons

This company is a disaster. Literally no method to their madness. If you like getting messages from 500 Slack channels and working at a company where your quarterly goals and performance doesn't matter - this is the job for you. Oh also, they were dead to me after they wiped out 2 entire teams in one week because they "wanted to go in a different direction"... whatever that means. Maybe their leadership should go in a different direction. I call them MarketerFire after that bizarre experience.

Thank you for your note. As one of the fastest-growing companies in B2B tech, we often need to adapt and evolve, and every change we make is always done in the best interest of our team and customers. We know things change quickly and sometimes changes come at a cost, especially for those impacted by the changes. You highlighted some concerns we’d like to address: As it relates to structure, we hold employee privacy in the highest regard. As such, we always keep confidential any specific circumstances surrounding employment. As a fully-remote company, we know Slack can get busy and be overwhelming at times – which is a modern challenge lots of remote companies are living with. Slack is one of our most important tools and we’re actively working internally to improve our communication flow. Regarding goals, we have and will continue to set company goals, which we re-evaluate quarterly. We can always improve how those are shared and reviewed and appreciate that feedback. Thank you again for reaching out. We do take all feedback seriously and would welcome the opportunity to discuss in more detail if you’re open to it. You can reach me anytime at hr@marketerhire.com Best, Leslie (Chief of Staff)

Pros

Remote work from anywhere, Unlimited PTO

Cons

We had no direct supervisor to mentor and help on the field hands-on as an SDR. They said they were going to hire an SDR Lead/supervisor but never did...The reason why, we do not know. Low base compensation. It's very low for an SDR in this market, especially with the rising cost of living with inflation. They try to sell you on perks like doordash credits that you rarely get and an a quarterly snack box. Sales entered a low season due to the declining economy all across the board for everyone and management did not do anything about it but forcing us to do a Udemy course for us to drive sales. I was let go due to "a restructure of the organization" after labor day (a day that celebrate laborers) in the middle of my shift, along with half of my team. They gave me the news very quick like they did not care. On top of that there was a very weak severance. I really felt undervalued and discarded like trash.

Hello and thanks for sharing your thoughts. We’re glad that we were able to provide the flexibility to you of remote work and unlimited PTO. Thanks for your feedback regarding the compensation. We analyze our pay rates against market rates and work to stay competitive as a startup. There are, of course, a lot of different outcomes possible with our roles that are commission based. We are also always looking to improve our training and management structures and always appreciate feedback. If there is any other feedback you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you at hr@marketerhire.com. We wish you all the best in your next career steps!
