Pros

MediCopy is truly different from any other company I have ever worked for. Leadership, especially the CEO, Elliott Holt, cares about his employees on a level that goes above and beyond. Every day he goes around and greets each employee - many times even visiting both of our two offices. He is constantly asking if you need anything from him and how he can improve your experience. If you are not happy about anything at MediCopy it is because you are not taking advantage of the open door policy. MediCopy is also one of, if not the most inclusive company in Nashville. MediCopy accepts people of all ages, walks of life, etc. It makes the environment special in and of itself. If you are looking for a company that is growing rapidly and has tremendous room to grow, this company is for you.

Cons

This is not a con, more-so an FYI. If you are looking for a company where you can come in and coast through the day, this is not the company for you. Being in a growth phase, MediCopy expects all their employees to be one time, not call out, not waste time on the clock and put in full effort for 8 hours each day. This is not a job for everyone. MediCopy is looking for reliable, hard-working individuals. MediCopy believes everyone can be replaced if need be. If you put in 100% effort and are on time and do not call out, you shouldn't have any problems.

Pros

Flexible schedule, Free Coffee, Free snacks, Never work weekends, Fair benefits, Modern office space, Easy access to interstate (Corporate office), Co-workers are easy to work with, a REAL open door policy to speak with management and the CEO (which doesn't happen in the real world).

Cons

Its hard work BUT that is why they call it WORK....The phone/customer service calls can be excessive and nerve wrecking.

Pros

Pay is good for what you do, but be prepared the pay does not get better the longer you stay with the company. Small environment.

Cons

Cubicle setting. The benefits are not good they change plans like they change pants. No room for growth unless you plan on kissing up to upper management. They say it's an open door policy but the open doors are not open they don't want to hear what you have to say. They are constantly pushing to meet goal but it's not like this is a manufacturing company you may or may not hit goal depending on the workflow coming in. Be prepared to see the owner flash his wealth while his employees stay at the same pay. This is the type of place where you actually see your owner get richer and the employees get poorer. FYI don't expect a Christmas bonus!!!!!

Thank you for your review. MediCopy is proud to offer our employees an open floor concept plan with no cubicles. We do change our plans as the government changes healthcare. Unfortunately, this is the inevitable. We strive to research affordable plans for our employees and look at different plans when insurers drop out of the exchange (like BCBST). Our other benefits are constantly getting better as we grow as a small company. There is plenty of room for growth BUT you must take the steps to grow personally and professionally and go above and beyond to be recognized. Valuable and talented employees get recognized. MediCopy is proud to reward deserving employees with annual raises, superseding industry standards, every year. MediCopy continues to hold steadfast with employees by offering promotions and advancements within the company. Our leadership team and I have always had an open door policy. If you would have expressed the “cons” you listed prior to your termination, I could have addressed them with you one on one. In the future, I encourage you to open the lines of communication. Goals are apart of business - always has been - always will be. To address the “flashy” CEO: I do not apologize for what I have. I have been in this field for almost 24 years and in business for 17 years. I have slept on the floor at my business, worked 80 hours a week, taken pay cuts or not even been paid at all over the years. I suggest that you work hard, stay focused, focus on the positive and success may happen to you. If you need help throughout your career or general path of life my door will always be open (just like it was when you were employed here at MediCopy). Well Wishes - Elliott Holt
