Pros

Friendly work atmosphere, helpful staff. Taking calls all day is a tough job.

Cons

The company is losing money, and has been for a couple of years. Excess management in every department.

Pros

You can wear jeans daily. Some people were friendly and professional.

Cons

People leave, and they can't find enough people to replace them. Workload gets distributed to the remaining few, which leads to an extremely high and unreasonable workload. They are not a profitable company, so cannot afford to upgrade operating claims systems (they have platforms from the 80's). Full-time employees are expected to work well over 40 hours a week, and don't get overtime. Don't ever expect a raise or work/life balance.

Pros

Mendota has good middle management, terrible human resources, and selfish executive level management. Conveniently located near 290 and 390...for now.

Cons

NEPOTISM IS RAMPANT! Sneaky, conniving upper management. Will lie to your face. Have outsourced multiple departments. They don't care about morale of employees. No room for advancement because positions are being filled by people that are located out of state. Seems that they are lying to us about their intentions of closing the IL office for an office in TN. They let go of a close co-worker when she was protected under FMLA. I hope she sues. In the meantime, I plug away with a HUGE file load waiting for the next round of layoffs to occur.
