Pros

Merriman is an amazing place to work! Best workplace! The people are amazing and genuinely care about you. Merriman offers so much to its employees and clients. There is so much room for opportunity and growth at the company. Merriman also lives up to "Live Fully" which I have seen through benefits, employee engagement, investments, onboarding experiences and so much more. I could rave about Merriman all day.

Cons

I can't think of any cons. I love working here.

Pros

After working in a different financial job for 6 years, I made the move to Merriman. The way this company has supported me as an employee has been incredible. Here are a few major ways they have stood out: 1. True work-life balance (this is not only encouraged but exemplified by leadership) 2. Genuine care for your well-being, I've never been guilted if I've needed time off due to illness or a death in the family. 3. Encouragement to pursue growth in your job. They want to help you grow with the company. 4. Incredible culture and principles that are truly a part of the work ethic of each individual. 5. Really fun ways we celebrate any achievements which creates an uplifting environment. 6. The benefits are pretty incredible and show how much the company values its employees.

Cons

The company is going through some growing pains, which means currently lots of changes to procedures. If you struggle with flexibility in adapting procedures this could be difficult.

Solid company to begin career

Pros

Benefits- generous PTO, sick days, paid health insurance, and 401k match. Consistent employee review periods and opportunities to work on several different projects with other departments. Work from home flexibility.

Cons

Part of a larger company in New York. Parent company has steadily increased their influence on Merriman. Feels too corporate now. Senior management says they are inclusive in incorporating employee input on decisions, but their actions many times don't reflect this.
