      good entry point job people are generally lovely

      Cons

      - overwork all employees - directors are out of touch with employees - the pay does not reflect industry standard - deadlines are impractical nearing unobtainable - poor employee recognition - career progression is non existent - particular members in power cause a hostile work environment - Hostile to remote workers

      Toxic, Outdated, and Mismanaged – Avoid at All Costs

      Pros

      A few decent fellow colleagues who try their best despite the toxic environment.

      Cons

      The owner returned in January and completely destroyed what little good was left in the company. Flexible working arrangements were scrapped, leaving employees micromanaged and without any work-life balance. Management is stuck in the past with outdated, rigid, and authoritarian approaches. The company pretends to be a big player in tech but is far from it. It’s a small fish with little innovation or relevance in the industry and a tech stack from 2005. The environment is toxic, morale is at an all-time low, and there’s a complete lack of respect for employees. Leadership is clueless about modern working practices, creating an oppressive and backward culture.

      Pros

      Despite my 2 star rating I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Metricell. If you put the work in you will be rewarded with further responsibilities, this can be seen as a con to some due to you not receiving a financial benefit to extra responsibilities. However, at an entry level job I wanted to be thrown in the deep end and experience what the working world had to offer and Metricell delivered on that and some. All of my previous colleagues are great from Managing director level down, you just have to learn how to communicate with different levels of the hierarchy.

      Cons

      - Company morale took a large hit due to the removal of the hybrid work scheme - Not a friendly environment for remote workers - Director level upwards are becoming more and more detached from employees - Pay below industry average - Fear of promotion - The fear is that employees will leave if they are progressed too quickly, however this had the opposite affect in my situation
