Pros

There are some lovely people that work there. The building facilities are good (gym, fruit etc).

Cons

Your treatment is based on whether or not your face fits and who likes you, in addition to the department you work in. The approach to staff discipline and support is inconsistent at best. Some staff have been let go for their absence, yet others have triple the amount, with no repurcussion. People are exploited for their knowledge and skills, but not rewarded with tangible opportunities to progress or develop. Jobs roles aren't always made accessible to the business, as some colleagues are promoted and given new job roles without the need for an interview or allowing anyone else a chance. Senior managers are there one day and gone the next, resulting in a very unsettling working environment with no understanding. The rate of staff suffering with mental health issues is at an all time high and a contributing factor of this is the pressure and environment you are working in, yet if brought up in conversation you'll be persuaded to think that your issues stem from your out of work life and that the company cannot possibly be causing you stress.

Pros

-The contact centre staff are lovely, and i have formed close friendships with a few. -They are the only ones that are keeping me going. -The work can be rewarding when there is a complex account and achieve the correct outcome for the customer. - Some of the Team leaders there I feel, really do care for their staff. And really want to boost morale. But It is apparent it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to do so, through no fault of their own.

Cons

-No goals to keep us motivated. We are on the phones 24/7 with no other purpose than to reduce the call queue. - Call feedbacks and 1-2-1s with Team leaders have been abolished. They are always cancelled last minute. We have not been receiving our call audits for the past 9 months i think it isn't important enough for higher management for staff to get feedback. so why do we even have an audit team? -Recently, complaints were given gifts for "all their hard work" now that higher management have heard about customer service finding out, my bets are with us getting something now. We are always an after thought. -We are the only department that are fully back in work so we have to answer a lot of other departments' queries, and there is a time lag due to other departments not having a basic device called a phone. (It has been over 6 months) you would have thought they would be able to sort this by now?! -Higher management do not listen. They ask for our opinions and then probably toss them in the bin straight after, what a meaningless excercise. -Some Staff can benefit with more training, it causes more work for everyone when they are making mistakes. They do not get the feedback needed so can never learn from their mistakes. And it means more customers repeat calling because of this. -Not a great wage for the amount we actually do for that company. -Work shifts change every 5 minutes. -Lack of communication between different departments but this is the least of their worries. -Lack of communication between higher management to customer service staff.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We welcome all feedback whether positive or negative. It’s great you’ve made some really close friends here at Moneybarn and you have recognised the great work of the Team Leaders – we will be sure to pass this on. As a result of the ongoing pandemic we have had to ensure that our building remains COVID-secure and therefore have had to prioritise which business functions return to the office, to ensure the safety of all our employees. Thank you for your constructive feedback, as with the ever-changing nature of the pandemic we will continue to look at ways to improve processes and procedures for employees working onsite and remotely. We want everyone who works at Moneybarn to feel that this is great place to work and enjoy working here. We’re very sad to read that your experience currently doesn’t match this. I have spoken to your department director who would love the opportunity to speak with you directly to better understand your feedback. Please reach out to them if you’re comfortable doing that. Or if for any reason that isn’t something you’re comfortable doing, please contact a member of your HR team who will be happy to discuss your feedback or help you facilitate further discussions with your department leadership team.

Pros

Some of the people there are lovely, to your face anyway. Lots of ways to progress if you want to change departments not really if you want to go up in the company.

Cons

Very cliquey- if your not IN you know it. Certain senior members of staff will wonder round the floor talking to their buddies whilst they’re on hold to a customer or wrapping up a call. Then in the same breath tell someone else who is actually working to hurry up and get on the phone. Same senior member of staff sits on their laptop booking rooms for holidays rather than doing their own work. Not only that, there is miscommunication between departments, each department is fed up with the other.
