Management is horrible. There is no protection for employees, doctors run the show. Good luck getting PTO approved. 3 people off at once between ALL the clinics. Literally have to ask a year in advance and log in at midnight to be first in line to request time off. Also. The point system for calling off is ridiculous, you get written up so fast. You can’t be sick or god forbid your kid gets sick.

I worked at Morris Hospital and struggled as someone who wasn’t part of the small-town, tight-knit culture. Most employees were connected through family or long-standing relationships, and if you’re not from the area, it’s easy to feel left out. Gossip was constant, and the environment didn’t feel inclusive or professional. Emergencies were often mishandled due to lack of preparation. I also felt uncomfortable with how often political views came up during work — from both coworkers and patients. Ultimately, the culture was draining and not a good fit for me.
