Pros

- Highly intelligent and proven experienced engineers to work with, respectful culture. - Hired fresh graduates are typically the cream of the crop. - Very organized that started as startup, reminiscent of successful semiconductor companies in the US. - Intense collaboration between teams. Collaborate with talented engineers from Sydney, Picton, UK, US, India, Taiwan, etc. - Management considers your input for design and resources if you can justify it - Probably the best company in Australia to develop your Radio Frequency and IC design career - Well funded by several international organizations - Potential to be a successful company in a few more years - Quality craft beer and snacks

Cons

- Complex IC design hence high product development risk - Some roles can be very challenging - Goals to sell such a complex chip in a short time at high volumes can be quite a stretch - High turnover in some teams - Socializing can sometimes feel like it's part of the job - Quality craft beer and snacks

Pros

Some engineers and leaders are nice and qualified.

Cons

The working environment is toxic. The senior management team always has unclear and unrealistic goals. The employees become overwhelmed and stressed trying to achieve these goals; over time, people lose motivation and become disengaged. The job satisfaction is really low. Hard work and competence are not respected and rewarded; promotions are based on favoritism rather than merit. Those incompetent individuals who are in critical roles always make poor decisions and costly mistakes. Engineers don’t trust in management and the fairness of organizational practices. There is no work-life balance here. Management level consistently setting aggressive deadlines, regardless the complexity of tasks. This company is more for smooth talkers and brown-nosers, rather than those who want to develop their career/ passionate about tech itself.
