Not a place for a career

Pros

Generally, the people are kind in all locations.

Cons

It’s not a place to grow your career. You are reading this because you want to learn what is really happening at the company. People clock in and out, there is no enthusiasm or energy there. The contact center is a dead department wholly attributable out dated management, times have moved forward but this is stuck in a time warp. Top down management is just another way to say, my way or the highway. Management continues to live in a small mind-set. Preferring to talk ABOUT people rather than make even low level decisions. Sad really, that so much energy is spent finding others to do the work, take credit when things go well and blaming when they don’t. Engagement is very low and sitting all day in an office won’t change that. People have shared such touching stories of pain caused and opportunities withheld from them, all of the staff live under the hope that retirement comes for the management. Over 30% leave within 2 years, it’s not a place to put on your resume. Eleanor Roosevelt said, great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people.

Pros

Cheap lunches, free soup/oatmeal, PTO and 401K match

Cons

Recently CEO Mitch Livingston released a video to all employees stating they were changing to a mandatory 3 office days which were not flexible. Mitch stated this was due to “mistakes being made”. Well I’m here to say that is WRONG, starting in January 2024 in NJ companies will continue to receive a tax break if they change the requirement to 3 office days. So our CEO is LYING to us. He is enforcing this change and forcing a lot of employees to leave (because they took this job due to flexibility especially if they have kids) to help his bank account which makes me SICK. On top of this change you are MICROMANAGED like no other. If you take too long to use the bathroom, get a drink, etc (using personal time while working) you get in trouble for it. Still have PTO but your kid is sick and you can’t work, well you have to take an unpaid day and get written up (which effects your raise). This place is getting more and more ridiculous and they wonder why there’s such a high turnover and a new group of employees every month. Also during onboarding you’re told “shift changes are available after 1 year of service” WRONG I asked for a shift change which was an available position and was denied. Absolutely no reason was given, also if you want to try and move in the company forget it.

Pros

Free oatmeal, soup, coffee, iced tea, and the onsite nurse.

Cons

This is THE WORST COMPANY to work for if you are looking for a true work-life balance employer, acceptance and respect of cultures or differences or a decent pay. Bullying on all levels is tolerated and encouraged, if you express your concerns to management, you are labeled as a troublemaker. The pay is non-existent and there is an extremely high level of low morale across the board. I am extremely happy that I escaped that horrible place!
