Pros

The pay is slightly above average compared to other similar positions elsewhere. The job is easy and straightforward. They give health, dental & vision insurance to anyone working at least 16 hrs/week. Decent benefits like EAP which gives free therapy sessions & health coaching.

Cons

NCH makes you use your own PTO for holidays. They force you to take the holiday off, won't give you the option to take it unpaid so you end up using up all your PTO on holidays that they decide for you. It makes it really difficult to take any time off for actual vacations, since they rarely will approve it unpaid/if not enough PTO saved. Very stingy & never heard of any employer doing this before. Most coworkers are nice but the managers are so fake & constantly trying to stir up drama amongst colleagues. They are highly inappropriate, patronizing & punitive - calling you into stupid meetings to discuss office gossip but not spending any time actually answering our work-related questions when we need help. Lastly, they write you up for ANY call off, even if you provide a doctor's note. Even around medically fragile children they want us to come to work sick & contagious. It's just a culture where the managers automatically don't trust you & assume you're lying even when you're not, and have done a good job 99% of the time. That 1% where you need time off will be all they focus on.
